INFORMATION ON LODGING AND TRANSPORTATION FOR SERCh

Lodging:

Students will stay on-site at the Argonne Guest House (hotel). The taxi/limo will take you directly to the Guest House, where you will check in. You must present your picture ID or documentation (visa, passport) when you enter the lab to receive your badge.

Faculty and Guests will stay at the Aloft hotel. All reservations need to be made directly with Aloft, both the faculty we are paying for and the guests. The taxi/limo will take faculty from the airport to the hotel. Guests must make their own arrangements. Aloft will provide a complimentary shuttle to Argonne National Laboratory for our faculty and guests. Upon arrival at Argonne, you must present your picture ID or documentation (visa, passport) to receive your badge. You will check in at the main SERCh building, Building 401.

The Aloft Hotel is located at 500 Janes Avenue, Bolingbrook, IL 60440.  Their direct phone number is 630-410-6367 or you can reach them at 877-462-5638.  Please identify yourself as a guest of UChicagoArgonne so that we can pay the bill or you can receive the negotiated rate of $78.00 per night which includes complimentary wireless internet in your room.

Ground Transportation:

Participants will travel via taxi/limo from the airport to the hotels. Confirmation instructions will be sent directly from A-1 Limousine to the students and faculty via e-mail. No need for anyone to call or reserve a ride.

We will also take students and faculty back to the airport at the end of the event, on Monday, November 15th beginning at 3:30 p.m.

Parking:

Several participants and judges may need to park. There is no restriction on where to park, and you do not need a parking pass or permit. Judges and faculty and guests may park at Building 401, and there is also parking at the Guest House. Of course, you can leave your car at the Aloft Hotel. I recommend that everyone travel with the group and go en masse to the next location – it is good to mingle with other participants.
