Eligibility Requirements - All of the following must be met for a student to be eligible:

• Applicants must be undergraduate students at the time of their research. Students who have begun graduate study may apply IF the research was done as an undergraduate student or in the summer following graduation.
• Students must have participated in original scientific research during the 2009-2010 academic year or the 2010 summer:
  1. in an internship at any Department of Energy National Laboratory or
  2. at their college or university in Department of Energy-sponsored research
• Applicants must be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident
