Science & Energy Research Challenge - SERCH A National Science Competition - In Search of Energy Solutions

Welcome Faculty Advisors!

Students submitting their application to the competition are asked to pre-identify a faculty advisor. Each student selected to participate in the SERCh poster competition must invite his/her designated university faculty advisor (only one per student) to attend as well.

The students and their university faculty advisors will both receive complimentary (at no cost) transportation to and from the event, as well as room and board for the duration of the conference. Per diem will be provided to both the students and the faculty.

Faculty advisors are key to the success of the SERCh Competition. The agenda for the attending faculty members parallels the student agenda but offers more targeted seminars. The seminars will include topics such as: Doing Business with DOE, Science and the Economy, and Opportunities at DOE.

Registration & Selection

Only the student may submit an application to participate in the poster competition. A faculty advisor may not submit the application on behalf of a student. Once a student has been selected, both the student and faculty advisor will be formally notified. A registration and travel information packet will be sent at that time. Travel arrangements will be made only upon receiving both the registration and travel form completed in its entirety.
